WHAT IS TRAUMA?
When something terrifying and unexpected happens to us, our brains begin to behave in a different way. Once we are safe again, our brain and body may continue to behave as though we are still in danger. This is often called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD can cause all sorts of disruptions to our lives, our sense of self, our work and our relationships.

EMDR is a safe and highly effective method helping the brain and body bring the shattering experience back into a manageable and healing level, putting you back in control again.
As a trained Integrative Psychotherapist and practitioner of EMDR, I can work in a way that integrates all my learned skills where the trauma may be from long ago and one of many such traumas. Equally, I work effectively if the trauma is a recent "one-off" incident and the symptoms refuse to go away.
